Bengal's Shahbaz bags 2, Porel claims 1 for East Zone in Duleep Trophy

Bengal bowlers Shahbaz Ahmed (2-42) and Ishan Porel (1-16) were impressive with the ball as East Zone team bundled out Central Zone for 182 on Day 1 in the Quarterfinal 1 of the Duleep Trophy in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
M B Mura Singh (5-42) was the pick of the bowlers for East Zone.
In reply, Bengal opener Abhimanyu Easwaran failed to make an impact as he was dismissed without scoring off his first ball.
Another Bengal batter Sudip Kumar Gharami, who has been in sublime form lately, remained unbeaten on 19 as East Zone reached 32/2 at stumps.
