CAB President XI & Tapan Memorial Club enter semifinals of P Sen Trophy

CAB President XI and Tapan Memorial Club made their way into the semifinals of the P Sen Memorial Knockout Tournament after victories in their respective quarterfinal matches on Monday.
In the first match, Tapan Memorial Club beat CAB District XI by virtue of spin of coin after heavy rains forced the match to be abandoned at the JU, Salt Lake campus.
In the second match, CAB President XI beat E.RLY.Sports Association by 7 wickets at the Eden Gardens.
Batting first, Rajesh Oraon scored a quickfire 32 not out off just 9 balls as E.RLY.Sports Association posted 162/7 in 19 overs.
Sandipan, Vikas and Vaibhav Yadav bagged two wickets each.
Chasing a challenging target, CAB President XI got off to a flying start, courtesy of a smashing 41 off just 16 balls by Sudip Kumar Gharami.
After his dismissal, Aditya Purohit (56 not out off 41 balls) and Ankur Paul (34 off 25 balls) played sensibly as CAB President XI went over the line comfortably, scoring 167/3 in 18.2 overs.
