Ballygunge Sporting Association enter 2nd Div One-Day meet final

Asish Bera scored a fine 73 while Rohit Sen (3-19) and Alapan Haldar (3-40) were superb with the ball as Ballygunge Sporting Association beat Behala Friends Union Club by 3 wickets in the semifinal clash to enter the final of the CAB 2nd Division One-Day league cum knockout tournament on Friday.
Batting first, Behala Friends Union scored 225/9 in 48 overs. In reply, Ballygunge Sporting Association chased it down, scoring 230/7 in 47.4 overs.
In the pre-quarterfinal clash, Sumit Mondal (58) and Monomit Mitra (4-31) helped Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club beat Vijay Sports Club by 8 wickets to enter the last-eight stage.
