Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club emerge champions in 2nd Div two-day meet

Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club defeated Greer Sporting Club by 146 runs in the final to emerge champions in the CAB Second Division two-day league cum knockout tournament on Tuesday.
Batting first, Alok Sharma smashed a superb 142 as Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club posted a massive 446 in 84.4 overs at stumps on Day 1.
For Greer Sporting, Pranab Prasad (6-152) was superb with the ball.
In reply, despite a fine 87 by Victor Upadhyay, Greer Sporting Club fell short of the target, scoring 300/7 in 85 overs.
Amit Banerjee bagged four wickets for Calcutta Port Trust.
Alok was awarded the man of the match for his excellent batting.
