Alok hits unbeaten 113 as Calcutta Port Trust enter semis of 2nd Div two-day meet

Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club and Greer Sporting Club registered comfortable victories in their respective quarterfinal clashes to make it to the semifinals of the CAB Second Division two-day league cum knockout tournament on Thursday.
In the first match, Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club beat Cricket Club of Bhavanipore by 5 wickets. Batting first, Soumyajit Mandal (97) and Koushik Guha (60) helped Cricket Club of Bhavanipore post 301. Amit Banerjee and Monomit Mitra bagged four wickets each. In reply, Alok Sharma scored a fine unbeaten 113 as Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club chased it down, scoring 305/5.
In the second match, Greer Sporting Club beat Behala Friends Union by 6 wickets. Batting first, Kanhaiya Soni (71) and Pradunya Sarkar (65) helped Behala Friends Union post 252. Manish Kumar bagged five wickets. In reply, Sandip Das (90) and Nirmal Acharjee (63 not out) helped, Greer Sporting Club chased it down, scoring 256/4.
