Arman (155) & Arjun (102) guide Ratnakar North Point School to 368/4 in Mayor's Cup final

Riding on brilliant centuries each by Arman Shah (155) and skipper Arjun Singh (102), Ratnakar North Point School posted a competitive 368/4 in 85 overs against Nava Nalanda High School on Day 1 in the Mayor's Cup final at the Eden Gardens on Monday.
Before the toss, CAB President Snehasish Ganguly said, "It is indeed a special occasion because we are organizing the Mayor's Cup final with Pink ball and under lights. It will give the young players a lot of motivation and zeal to perform well.
"I also take this opportunity to thank Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and his wife for his presence. Also, many thanks to MMIC KMC Debashish Kumar for coming, despite his busy schedule. I hope the final match between Nava Nalanda High School and Ratnakar North Point School will be a thrilling one, and I wish them the best."
MMIC KMC Debasish Kumar speaking on the accasion said, "I am very happy to be present here for the final match of Mayor's Cup. Playing with pink ball and under lights is surely something to watch out for. I wish both teams the very best and hope the match will be a competitive one."
Earlier, put into bat, Ratnakar North Point School lost both openers Raunav Hazra (1) and Mayank Singh (18) with just 37 on the board.
But Arman and Arjun stitched together a vital 185-run partnership for the third wicket to help the side cross the 200-run mark.
But after the dismissal of Arjun, Krishan Singh (77 not out) played a handy knock at the end, along with Arman to guide the team to a challenging total.
For Nava Nalanda, Ritt Das and Ayush Ghosh bagged two wickets each.
