Balak Sangha win in N C Chatterjee T20 meet

Mauri Sporting Club, Behala Friends Union Club, Calcutta Rangers Club, Balak Sangha, White Border, South Suburban Club, Mohunlal Club and Cossipore Club registered comfortable victories in their respective matches in the N C Chatterjee T20 Memorial league cum knockout Trophy on Friday.
In the first match, Mauri Sporting Club beat Calcutta Parsee Club on virtue of lesser number of wickets after the match ended on a tie. Batting first, Calcutta Parsee Club scored 146/8 in 20 overs, thanks to Ankesh Kumar Roy (46). Sayan Parui bagged three wickets. In reply, Mauri Sporting Club managed to score 146/6 in 20 overs. Mohammad Sarfaraz and Ankesh bagged two wickets each.
In other matches, Behala Friends Union Club beat Ballygunge Sporting Association by 4 wickets. Batting first, Ballygunge Sporting Association posted 172/5 in 20 overs. In reply, Behala Friends Union Club chased it down, scoring 211/6 in 17 overs, thanks to 55 bonus runs.
Calcutta Rangers Club beat Bani Niketan Sports Club by 48 runs. Batting first, Calcutta Rangers Club posted 202/4 in 20 overs, thanks to Arkadipta Mandal (59). Arnab Das bagged three wickets. In reply, Bani Niketan Sports Club fell short, managing only 154/7. Anoop Prasad bagged two wickets.
Balak Sangha beat Taltala Institute by 5 runs. Balak Sangha posted 174/6 in 20 overs. Sanjib Garai bagged three wickets. In reply, despite a fine 80 by Sujoy Sarkar, Taltala fell short, managing 169/9 in 20 overs. Sidhant Jain bagged three wickets.
White Border beat Ariadaha S.C by 36 runs. White Border posted 150/9 in 20 overs. Bijoy Chitrakar (4-19). In reply, Ariadaha S.C were bowled out for 114. Kishalay Mondal bagged three wickets.
South Suburban Club beat Baranagar Sporting Club by 8 runs. South Suburban Club managed to post 144. In reply, despite a fine 60 by Vivek Prasad Mahato, Baranagar Sporting Club scored only 136/9 in 20 overs. Kushal Gupta bagged four wickets.
Mohunlal Club beat Friends Sporting Union by 12 runs. Mohunlal Club posted 151/8 in 20 overs, thanks to Parag Sarkar (50). Jagad Manan bagged four wickets. In reply, Friends Sporting Union were bowled out for 139. Sourav Acharyya and Rohan Saha bagged three wickets each.
Cossipore Club beat Subarban by 5 wickets. Batting first, Subarban posted 133/9 in 20 overs. Aryan Shaw bagged three wickets. In reply, Ajey Prakash (76 not out) helped Cossipore Club chase it down, scoring 135/5 in 20 overs. Rajesh Saroj bagged three wickets.
