score big in 1st Div two-day meet

Aditya Purohit scored a brilliant 177 along with Ravikanth Shukla (131 not out) as Mohammedan Sporting Club managed to post 402/5 at stumps on Day 1 against Ballygunge United Club in the CAB 1st Division Group B & C two-day league cum knockout tournament on Friday. Anik Nandi bagged three wickets.
In other matches, Gaurav Jathar (159), Ashray Jha (158) and Parth Palawat (96 not out) were superb with the bat as Aryan Club posted a massive 497/5 at stumps against Dakshin Kolkata Sansad.
Priyankar Mukherjee (4-18) and Rohan Rawat (3-53) were excellent with the ball as Belgachia United Club were bundled out for 156. In reply, Aikya Sammilani were 51/3 at stumps.
Seazan Hossain (85) helped United Club post 321/7 at stumps against Kidderpore Sporting Club. Vision Panchal and Arun Chaprana bagged three wickets each.
