Akhilesh bags 7 as Sporting Union win in 1st Div two-day meet

Akhilesh Yadav (7-98) bowled superbly to help Sporting Union beat B.N.R Recreation Club by 113 runs on Day 2 in the CAB 1st Division Group B & C two-day league cum knockout tournament on Friday. Batting first, Sporting Union posted 325. In reply, B.N.R Recreation Club were bowled out for 212.
In other matches, Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club beat George Telegraph Sports Club by 187 runs. Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club posted 303/7. In reply, George Telegraph Sports Club were bundled out for just 116, thanks to Dilshad Khan (6-25).
Kumartuli Institute beat Tollygunge Agragami by 168 runs. Vikash Meena (116) and Dipak Kr Yadav (102) helped Kumartuli Institute score 464/8. In reply, despite a fine 85 by Akash Das, Tollygunge Agragami were bowled out for 296. Rahul Prasad bagged three wickets.
