Sohibur scores fine 171 for Gymkhana in 2nd Div two-day meet

Riding on a superb 171 by Sohibur Rahaman, Gymkhana managed to score 353 at stumps on Day 1 against Behala Friends Union Club in the CAB Second Division two-day league cum knockout tournament on Saturday. Abhishek Yadav bagged three wickets.
In other matches, Bhoirob De Sarkar (155) and Soumyajit (68) helped Friends Athletic Club posted 378 at stumps against Abasar. Ankit Saroj (5-64) was impressive with the ball.
Howrah Sporting Club defeated Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club by 49 runs. Batting first, Howrah Sporting managed to post 125, thanks to Amit Banerjee (4-25). In reply, Calcutta Port Trust were bundled out for just 76. Meghbaran (5-31) and Vishal Shaw (4-39) were superb with the ball.
Shuvojit Das (95) and Sujit Soren (91) helped Excelsiors Club posted 261. Krishnendu Guha (6-89) impressed with the ball. In reply, Greer Sporting Club were 95/1 at stumps.
Balak Sangha managed to score 285, thanks to Pranjal Das (72). Asif Mondal and Ishan Khatri bagged four wickets each. In reply, Bengal Sporting Club were 19/0 at stumps.
YMCA (Chow BR) were bowled out for 248, thanks to Abhijeet Prasad (6-119). In reply, Jorabagan Club were 26 for no loss at stumps.
Debarun Biswas scored 63 as Aurora Athletic Association were bowled out for 199, thanks to Kaushik Deb (5-49). In reply, Albert Sporting Club were 122/4 at stumps.
Kaushik Sen (6-86) bowled superbly as Calcutta Rangers Club were bowled out for 219. Aniket Chakraborty top-scored with 64 runs. In reply, Taltala Institute were 61/3 at stumps.
Koushik Guha (87) and Soumyajit Mandal (66) helped Cricket Club of Bhavanipore post a massive 436 against Ariadaha S.C. While Md. Imran Farhat bagged five wickets.
Bata Sports Club managed to score 306 at stumps against Cossipore Club, thanks to Avinandan Maity (81) and Akash Sikder (78). Aditya Ghosal bagged four wickets.
Swarup Sengupta scored a fine 98 as White Border posted 235. Chandradip Bagdi and Mayank Lakhmani bagged four wickets each. In reply, Friends Sporting Union were 44 for no loss at stumps.
