Soumodip bags 7 as Kolkata Union Sporting Club win 1st Div two-day meet

Soumodip Bagchi (7-69) bowled superbly to help Kolkata Union Sporting Club beat Sporting Union by 36 runs on Day 2 in the CAB 1st Division two-day league cum knockout tournament on Saturday. Kolkata Union Sporting Club posted 278, thanks to Sourav Chakraborty (80). In reply, despite a fine 103 by Akash Verma, Sporting Union were bowled out for 242.
In the day's other matches, Rajasthan Club beat Monohar Pukur Milan Samity by 355 runs. Parmit Singh (182) and Abhijit Mal (102) helped Rajasthan Club post a massive 540/6. In reply, Monohar Pukur Milan Samity were bundled out for 185.
B.N.R Recreation Club beat Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club by 166 runs. Avinash Kumar (122) helped BNR Recreation Club post 353/6. In reply, Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club were bundled out for 187, thanks to Ananta Saha (5-56).
Tollygunge Agragami beat George Telegraph Sports Club by 77 runs. Tollygunge Agragami posted 315 against George Telegraph Sports Club. Adim Shahab bagged five wickets. In reply, George Telegraph were bowled out for 238, thanks to Lagnajit Samal (5-91).
Wari Athletic Club beat E.RLY.Sports Association by 97 runs. Gourav Jadav (154 not out) helped Wari Sports Club post 283/9. Raju Halder bagged seven wickets. In reply, E.RLY.Sports Association were bowled out for 186.
