Rajasthan post 296/4 against Bengal U-25 on Day 1

Bengal under-25 team put up a good fight but Rajasthan managed to post 296/4 at stumps on Day 1 of the Col C K Nayudu Trophy at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday.
Opting to bat, the home side dealt an early blow losing opener Z A Khan (9) in the sixth over of the day.
But Dr Gajraj (51) and skipper Anshul N Garhwal (18) helped their side recover well.
After their dismissal, K P Choudhary scored a handy 37 to take team past 150-run mark.
With team’s score at 151/4, Karan Lamba (92 not out) and R H Sharma (78 not out) came in with a positive intent.
The duo stitched together a much-needed unbeaten 145-run partnership for the fifth wicket to take team to a strong position at the end of the day.
For Bengal, Amrit Raj Upadhyay was the pick of the bowlers claiming two wickets.
