Shakir scores 101 but Jammu Kashmir take 1st innings
lead after draw against Bengal U-25

Shakir Habib Gandhi (101 not out) batted superbly to keep Bengal Under-25 team in the game but Jammu Kashmir managed to take first innings lead after their Col C K Nayudu Trophy match ended in a draw at the Hostel Ground JKCA in Jammu on Wednesday.
Jammu Kashmir posted 390 in their first innings, in reply to Bengal's score of 253, which gave the home side a crucial first innings lead.
Bengal, in their second innings posted 294/6. In reply, Jammu Kashmir were 37/3 in their second innings at stumps on the fourth and final day.
Earlier, resuming the day from overnight score of 59/1, Shakir and Abhijeet Bhagat (54) played sensibly to take team past the 200-run mark.
After the dismissal of Bhagat, Vikas Singh (27) and Prayas Ray Barman (23) scored handy knocks.
For Jammu Kashmir, Vishal Kumar bagged two wickets.
In reply, Jammu Kashmir in their second innings managed to reach 37/3 at the end of the day with Shubham Singh Pundir (11) and Kawal Preet Singh (12) at the crease.
Kaushik Maity claimed two wickets for Bengal.
