Abhishek bags 6 to help Taltala Ekata Sangha win
in 2nd Div two-day meet

Abhishek Nath (6-52) helped Taltala Ekata Sangha beat Sahapur Sporting Club by 57 runs on Day 2 in the CAB Second Division two-day league cum knockout tournament on Monday.
Batting first, Taltala Ekata Sangha were bowled out for 221. In reply, Sahapur Sporting Club were also bundled out for 164, thanks to Abhishek.
In the day’s second match, Sarat Samity beat Mauri Sporting Club by 141 runs.
Leading from the front, Sachin Rajak (173) batted superbly to help Sarat Samity post 323 in 46.2 overs. In reply, Mauri Sporting Club were bundled out for just 182, thanks to Harsh Shaw (3-46).
In the day’s third match, Salkia Friends Association beat Burnpur Cricket Club 107 runs.
Debangshu Pakhira (74) helped Salkia Friends Association post 354 in 70 overs. In reply, Burnpur Cricket Club were bowled out for 247, courtesy of a fine bowling by Mangaldeep Mahata (6-65).
In the day’s fourth match, Baranagar Sporting Club beat Alipore Sporting Club 43 runs.
Baranagar Sporting Club were bowled out for 193. In reply, Alipore were bundled out for just 150, thanks to Baidurya Dey (4-56).
In the day’s fifth match, Victoria Sporting Club beat Bani Niketan Sports Club by 246 runs.
Riding on a fine 100 by Md. Imtiaz Ali, Victoria Sporting Club posted 389. In reply, Bani Niketan Sports Club bundled out for 143, thanks to Ajay Yadav (5-48).
In the day’s sixth match, City A.C defeated Measerers Club by 271 runs.
Jeet Thakur (100) helped City A.C post 365 against Measerers Club. In reply, Measerers Club were bundled out for 94, thanks to Herend Paswan (5-28).
In the day’s seventh match, Ballygunge Sporting Association beat Uttarpalli Milan Sangha by 154 runs.
Meghdut Naskar (92) helped Ballygunge Sporting Association post 361/9. In reply, Uttarpalli Milan Sangha were bowled out for 207, thanks to Kishan Kumar (5-46).
In the day’s eighth match, Calcutta University Institute beat WB Association of Deaf by 8 wickets.
Riding on a fine bowling by Salman Ahmed (5-42), Calcutta University Institute bundled out WB Association of Deaf for 196. In reply, Shaheed Marandi (81 not out) helped CU chase it down scoring 198/2.
