Amit bags 8 to help Calcutta Port Trust win in 2nd Div two-day meet

Riding on a superb 207 by Sk. Md. Sharukh followed by an impressive bowling by Amit Banerjee (8-37), Calcutta Port Trust defeated Bengal Sporting Club by 473 runs on Day 2 in the CAB Second Division two-day league cum knockout tournament on Tuesday.
Batting first, Calcutta Port Trust post a massive 600/8 in 85 overs on Day 1. In reply, Bengal Sporting were bundled out for just 127.
In the day's second match, Baranagar Sporting Club beat Measerers Club by 137 runs.
Baranagar Sporting Club posted 446, thanks to a superb 208 by Abhishek Singh. In reply, Measerers Club were bowled out for 309. Md Nasir bagged four wickets.
In the day's third match, Calcutta University Institute beat Satya Sandhi by 171 runs.
Salman Ahmed (127) helped Calcutta University Institute post 309 against Satya Sandhi.
In reply, Satya Sandhi were bowled out for 138, thanks to Amit Roy (4-23).
In the day's fourth match, Sahapur Sporting Club beat WB Association of Deaf by 4 runs.
Supratim Saha (5-48) helped WB Association of Deaf bowl out Sahapur Sporting Club for 232.
In reply, WB Association of Deaf fell short of the target, scoring 228 in 53.4 overs. Sudip Talukder bagged five wickets.
In the day's fifth match, YMCA (Chow BR) beat Albert Sporting Club by 46 runs.
Soham Banerjee (78) and Sanchayan Chatterjee (58) helped YMCA (Chow BR) post 247 in 76 overs.
In reply, Albert Sporting Club were bowled out for 201. Partha Kundu and Sayan Sadhukhan bagged four wickets each.
In the day's sixth match, Uttarpalli Milan Sangha beat City AC by 60 runs.
Aranya Deb Sarkar (81) helped Uttarpalli Milan Sangha post 277. In reply, City AC were bowled out for 217 in 77.4 overs, thanks to Avijit Mishra (5-78).
In the day's seventh match, Calcutta Parsee Club beat Victoria Sporting Club by 4 runs.
Calcutta Parsee Club posted 298 in 81.5 overs, thanks to Ayush Ray (60).
In reply, Victoria Sporting fell short and were bowled out for 294 in 78.2 overs, thanks to Ankesh Kumar Roy (5-29).
In the day's eighth match, Howrah Union beat Friends Athletic Club by 90 runs.
Priyanshu Patel (5-32) helped Friends Athletic Club bowl out Howrah Union for 164.
In reply, Friends Athletic Club were bundled out for 74, thanks to Md Shafique (5-13).
In the day's ninth match, Star Sporting Club beat Bata Sports Club by 4 wickets.
Bata Sports Club were bowled out for 204 against Star Sporting Club, thanks to Kaif Abbas (5-78).
In reply, Subhajit Paul (67 not out) helped Star Sporting chase it down scoring 205/6 in 50.4 overs.
In the day's tenth match, Friends Sporting Union beat Abasar by 72 runs.
Friends Sporting Union posted 289 in 78.5 overs.
In reply, Abasar were bowled out for 217, thanks to Jagad Manan (5-88).
