Sumit bags 5 to help Hooghly win in Inter District U-18 meet

Sumit Das (5-20) was impressive with the ball as Hooghly defeated Midnapore by 3 wickets on Day 1 in the CAB Inter District Under-18 two-day league cum knockout tournament on Tuesday.
Batting first, Midnapore were bundled out for just 84 in 33.1 overs.
In reply, Hooghly chased it down scoring 86/7 in 43 overs.
In the day’s second match, Birbhum were bowled out for 208 in 63.4 overs, thanks to Akash Roy (5-48). In reply, Jalpaiguri were 67 for no loss at stumps on Day 1.
