South 24-PGS beat North 24-PGS to emerge Inter District U-15 champions

South 24-PGS displayed an all-round performance to beat North 24-PGS by 46 runs in the final to emerge champions in the CAB Inter District Under-15 two-day tournament at the JU Second Campus Ground, Salt Lake on Sunday.
Opting to bat first, Sunny Yadav (73) and Debmalya Chakraborty (56) batted superbly to help South 24-PGS post a challenging 269 in 67.2 overs.
Archish Biswas (3-48) impressed with the ball for North 24-PGS.
Chasing the target, North 24-PGS got off to a fine start, courtesy of openers Adrito Dey (32) and Priyobroto Nath (10).
After their dismissal, Archish (68) played a fighting knock but wickets at the other end piled on the pressure as their innigs folded for 223 in 84.4 overs.
Aman Kumar Sah (3-64) was the star bowler for South 24-PGS while Ayan Ghosh, Debmalya Chakraborty and Shree Ganeshan bagged two each.
