Sk Siddik bags 6 to help Ballygunge Sporting
win in 2nd Div two-day meet

Sk Siddik (6-57) bowled superbly to help Ballygunge Sporting Association defeat Salkia Friends Association by 12 runs on Day 2 in the CAB Second Division two-day league cum knockout tournament on Saturday.
Azeem Baig (7-60) bowled superbly to help Salkia Friends Association bowl out Ballygunge Sporting Association for 151.
In reply, Salkia were bundled out for 139 in 44.2 overs, thanks to Sk Siddik.
In the day’s second match, Behala Friends Union Club beat Young Bengal Sporting Association by 5 wickets.
Young Bengal Sporting Association were bowled out for 160, thanks to Ajit Kumar Rajak (5-29).
In reply, Behala Friends Union Club were chased it down scoring 163/5 in 33 overs, thanks to Hari Narayan Jana (58).
In the day’s third match, Rudraneel Das (5-35) and Suman Dey (4-51) helped Cricket Club of Bhavanipore beat Gymkhana by 468 runs.
Batting first, Sanjit Sardar (175), Kazi Md Safin (113) and Koushik Guha (100 not out) scored centuries each as Cricket Club of Bhavanipore posted a massive 562/5 in 85 overs.
In reply, Gymkhana were bundled out for just 94.
In the day’s fourth match, Jorabagan Club beat Aurora Athletic Association by 7 wickets.
Despite a fighting 94 by Rashid Khan, Jorabagan Club were bowled out for 216 in 68.5 overs.
In reply, Debarun Biswas (85 not out) helped Aurora Athletic Association chase down the total scoring 220/3 in 63.3 overs.
In the day’s fifth match, Albert Sporting Club beat Subarban by 9 runs.
Batting first, Albert Sporting Club were bowled out for 207.
In reply, Subarban were bundled out for just 198, thanks to Sourav Sil (5-81).
In the day’s sixth match, Vijay Sports Club beat Ariadaha SC by 166 runs.
Batting first, Soumya Paul (93) helped Vijay Sports Club post 355 in 69.4 overs.
In reply, Ariadaha SC were bundled out for just 189, thanks to (Shoiab Akhtar 3-25).
In the day’s seventh match, High Court Club posted 255/9 in 85 overs, thanks to a fine unbeaten 100 by Pritam Malita. Prodip Das (5-51) impressed with the ball for Mohunlal Club.
In reply, Parag Sarkar (92) helped Mohunlal Club chased the target down scoring 258/8 to eventually win the match by 2 wickets.
In the day’s eighth match, YMCA (Chow BR) won by 28 runs.
Batting first, YMCA posted 259 in 74.4 overs, thanks to Triash Das (74).
Rajesh Yadav bagged four wickets for Calcutta Rangers Club.
In reply, Calcutta Rangers were bowled out for 231, thanks to Partha Kundu (5-56).
