Bengal U-25 need 163 runs more to beat Tripura

Bengal under-25 team made a strong comeback into the match to remain just 163 runs away from a fantastic victory against Tripura in the Col C K Nayudu Trophy clash.
After bowling out Tripura for 276 in their second innings, Bengal, chasing 187 to win, were 24/2 at stumps on Day 3 at the 22 Yards, Salt Lake on Tuesday.
Earlier, resuming the day from overnight score of 50/1, PP Das (54) gave the visitors a strong start.
But Bengal took wickets at regular intervals to reduce Tripura to 117/5.
From there on, Anandh Bhowmik (77) played a fine counter-attacking innings along with Indrajit Debnath (33) to take team past the 200-run mark.
After their dismissal, Sandip Sarkar (31 not out) played a handy knock at the end before their innings folded for 276 in 93.4 overs.
Sandipan Das (4-62), Vikas Singh (3-29), Kaushik Maity (2-44) and Vineet Maurya (1-47) impressed with the ball for Bengal.
