Suraj bags 6 to help Burnpur Cricket
Club win in 2nd Div two-day meet

Suraj Kr Yadav (6-35) bowled superbly to help Burnpur Cricket Club beat Ballygunge Sporting Association by 83 runs in the CAB Second Division two-day League cum Knockout tournament on Sunday.
Batting first, Burnpur Cricket Club were bowled out for 222. In reply, Ballygunge were bundled out for just 139, courtesy of a fine bowling by Suraj.
In the day’s second match, riding on a superb 230 by Abhisek Mitra followed by fine bowling by Suman Dey (5-106), Cricket Club of Bhavanipore defeated International Club by 171 runs.
Batting first, Bhavanipore post a massive 474 in 83.5 overs.
In reply, despite a well made unbeaten 73 by Pratik Dutta, International Club fell short of the target scoring 303/9 in 66.5 overs.
In the day's third match, Behala Friends Union Club beat Central Calcutta Sporting Club by 91 runs.
Kanhaiya Soni scored a fine unbeaten 112 along with Ajit Kumar Rajak (88) to help Behala Friends Union Club post 362 in 79 overs against Central Calcutta Sporting Club.
In reply, Central Calcutta were bowled out for 271 in 73.5 overs, thanks to fine bowling by Ajit (5-103).
In the day’s fourth match, Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute beat Bani Niketan Sports Club by 218 runs.
Sayantan Mondal scored an outstanding 158 along with Akash Ghosh (98) to help Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute post 388 in 80.5 overs.
In reply, Bani Niketan bundled out for just 170, thanks to Sounak Nandi (3-85).
In the day’s fifth match, Taltala Ekata Sangha defeated West Bengal Association of the Deaf by 188 runs.
Riding on a fine unbeaten 98 by Kishan Kumar, Taltala Ekata Sangha posted 291 in 77.5 overs.
In reply, West Bengal Association of the Deaf were bowled out for 103, thanks to Souvik Mitra (4-37).
In the day’s sixth match, Akash Shil scored a fine 86 to help Uttarpalli Milan Sangha beat Baranagar Sporting Club by 2 wickets.
Batting first, Baranagar Sporting Club were bowled out for 204 in 79.5 overs.
In reply, Uttarpalli Milan Sangha chased it down scoring 208/8 in 49.3 overs, thanks to Akash. For Baranagar, Suman Sethi bagged four wickets.
In the day’s seventh match, Calcutta Parsee Club beat Sarat Samity by 37 runs.
Batting first, Calcutta Parsee Club posted 323 in 80.5 overs.
In reply, despite a fine 67 by Indrajit Orang, Sarat Samity fell short scoring 286 in 71.2 overs. For Calcutta Parsee Club, Ayush Ray (4-76) impressed with the ball.
In the day’s eighth match, City A.C beat Salkia Friends Association by 47 runs.
Batting first, City A.C posted 241 in 70.4 overs against Salkia Friends Association.
In reply, despite fine knocks by Swarnendu Ghosh (58) and Ritam Mal (56), Salkia were bowled out for 194. Jeet Thakur (4-62) impressed with the ball for City A.C.
