Bengal U-25 take first innings lead
after draw against Madhya Pradesh

Bengal Under-25 team displayed an all-round performance to grab a vital first innings lead after their Col C K Nayudu Trophy clash against Madhya Pradesh ended in a draw on Wednesday.
After bowling out Madhya Pradesh for 271 in their first innings, Bengal posted 279 which gave the home side a vital first innings lead.
MP, in their second innings, managed 288/7 decl. while Bengal were 97/3 at stumps on the fourth and final day at the JU Second Campus in Salt Lake.
Earlier, resuming the day from overnight score of 111/2, Mohd Arham Aquil looked in sublime touch, playing a superb innings of 135 powered by 13 fours and a six to take MP’s lead to a strong position.
He was well supported in the other end by Rishabh Chouhan (65).
For Bengal, Kaushik Maity bagged four wickets while Sandipan Das took three.
Bengal, in their second innings, rode on a fine unbeaten half-century by Ankur Paul as the hosts ended the match with three crucial points.
