Twin centuries help Jalpaiguri win
in Inter District U-18 meet

Soaib Shah (135 not out) and Samar Roy (108) smashed superb centuries each as Jalpaiguri defeated Dakshin Dinajpur by 8 wickets in the Inter District Under-18 two-day league cum knockout tournament on Tuesday.
Batting first, Dakshin Dinajpur posted massive score of 339, thanks to a fine 176 by Rajat Karmakar.
In reply, riding on superb tons by Samar and Soaib, Jalpaiguri chased down the target scoring 340/2 in 80.3 overs.
In the day's second match, South 24-PGS defeated Nadi by 119 runs.
Satyam Patra scored 101 to help South 24-PGS post 363/8 in 80 overs.
In reply, Nadia were bowled out for 244 in 63.2 overs, courtesy of a fine bowling by Suraj Sinha (4-77).
In the day's third match, Midnapore beat Uttar Dinajpur by 252 runs.
Riding on a fine 91 by Rohan Das, Midnapore posted 357 in 78.1 overs.
In reply, Uttar Dinajpur were bundled out for 105, thanks to Pranshu Tulsian (5-32).
In the day's fourth match, Birbhum defeated Howrah by 36 runs.
Batting first, Birbhum were bowled out for 211.
In reply, Howrah were bundled out for just 175, thanks to Agniswar Das (5-79).
