lead against Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh Under-25 team may have gained an upperhand in the match, but Bengal grabbed a vital first innings lead in the Col C K Nayudu Trophy clash on Tuesday.
After bowling out Madhya Pradesh for 271 in their first innings, Bengal posted 279 which gave the hosts a vital first innings lead.
MP, in their second innings, were 111/2 with a 103-run lead at stumps on Day 3 the JU Second Campus Salt Lake.
Earlier, resuming the day from overnight score of 160/6, Kaushik Maity (64) and Vikas (54)smashed half-centuries each as the duo added 86 runs in the morning and 95 runs for the seventh wicket to take team close to 250-run mark.
After the dismissal of the duo, tailenders Sandipan Das (11) and Debopratim Halder (9) kept their cool to take the home side past Madhya Pradesh's first innings total.
In reply, MP, in their second innings were solid right from the start as Mohd Arham Aquil (50) and Abhishek Mavi (23) remained unbeaten at the end of the third day as the visitors gathered crucial lead with an exciting fourth day yet to be played.
