Bengal U-25 fight but Punjab take first innings lead

Bengal put up a good fight but Punjab took a vital 46-run first innings lead at stumps on Day 3 in the Col C K Nayudu Trophy on Tuesday.
Salil Arora scored a superb unbeaten 136 along with Jaskaranvir Singh (80), Pukhraj Mann (79) and Abhinav Sharma (67 not out) to help Punjab reach 446/5 in their first innings at the end of the third day at JU Second Campus Salt Lake.
Sandipan Das impressed with the ball for Bengal bagging two wickets.
Bengal earlier posted 400 in their first innings.
Resuming the day from overnight score of 139/2, Punjab played positively right from the start.
Pukhraj and Jaskaranvir were superb in their approach as they piled on some quick runs to take team to a strong position.
After their dismissal, Salil came in to take the game away from the opposition.
He smashed 14 fours and 2 sixes in his innings to take team's score past Bengal.
