Unbeaten Bengal face Baroda, target third win in Ranji

Brimming with confidence after an unbeaten run in the ongoing Ranji Trophy, Bengal will now aim to bag their third victory of the campaign when they take on Baroda in their fifth Elite Group A match at the Bengal Cricket Academy in Kalyani starting on Tuesday.
Having already clinched 19 points from four games so far, with two big wins, the Laxmi Ratan Shukla-coached side will go into the match after playing out a thrilling draw against Uttarakhand which helped them earn three points courtesy of first innings lead.
The biggest positive for the Manoj Tiwary-led side will be the rich form of Abhimanyu Easwaran.
The right-handed opener, who joined the team after missing the first two games, has been in sublime touch smashing a big hundred against Nagaland followed by 165 and an unbeaten 82 in their previous match against Uttarakhand.
The 27-year-old will be raring to score another big one on a pitch which is most likely to favour the batsmen.
Besides Easwaran, the talented and in-form Sudip Kumar Gharami along with the experienced Anustup Majumdar and captain Manni himself will hold the key in the batting department and will surely pose a headache to any opposition.
The spin duo of Shahbaz Ahmed and Pradipta Pramanik, who has complemented each other very well, will look it make it count once again.
In the fast bowling department, Akash Deep and Ishan Porel are most likely to lead the attack.
On the other hand, the Vishnu Solanki-led Baroda side will go into this match with just a win from their four games so far. They have earned a point after a draw against Himachal Pradesh in their previous match.
