Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan Sporting Club registered comfortable victories in their respective matches in the Byju's Bengal Women's T20 Blast at the MGR Cricket Academy Ground, Suri, on Tuesday.
In the day's first match, Mohun Bagan defeated Gymkhana by 16 runs.
Put into bat, Mohun Bagan posted 137/5 in 20 overs, thanks to a fine unbeaten 73 off 57 balls by Priyanka Bala.
In reply, Gymkhana managed to reach 121/4 in 20 overs. Trishita Sarkar top-scored for Gymkhana with 43 runs.
In the day's second match, Md. Sporting beat Rajasthan Club by 7 wickets.
Put into bat, Rajasthan struggled throughout their innings and managed to post only 54/9 in 20 overs.
Priya Pandy was the star bowler for Md. Sporting claiming three wickets.
In reply, Md. Sporting chased the total easily scoring 57/3 in 10 overs.
