Ayush scores 117 as Mohun Bagan reach 290/4

Ayush Kumar Singh scored a fine 117 as Mohun Bagan reached 290/4 at stumps on Day 1 against Calcutta Customs Club in the CAB First Division League Group A match at the Deshbandhu Park Ground in Kolkata on Monday.
Enroute his century, Ayush struck 13 fours and three sixes. He was well supported by Anustup Majumdar (67).
For Calcutta Customs, Suman Das impressed with the ball claiming three wickets.
In the day’s second match at the SP School Ground in Kolkata, defending champions Bhawanipore Club are just 5 wickets away from victory after enforcing Police Athletic Club to follow on.
Bhawanipore posted a challenging 459 in their first innings. For Police Athletic, Md Asif Mansoori was the star bowler claiming an impressive 8 wickets.
In reply, Police Athletic were bundled out for just 72 in their first innings, thanks to fine bowling by Bhawanipore’s Ravi Kant Singh (5-22) and Pradipta Pramanik (4-6).
Following on, Police Athletic were reduced to 155/5 at stumps on Day 2 thus staring at a big defeat.
In the day’s third match at JU 2nd Campus Ground in Salt Lake, Barisha Sporting Club posted 337 in their first innings against Shambazar Club, courtesy of fine knocks by Priyank Patel (83), Agniv Pan (56) and Akash Deep (52).
For Shambazar, Anish Pandey was the star bowler picking up four wickets.
In reply, Shambazar reached 17/2 at stumps on Day 1.
In the day’s fourth match at Bengal Cricket Academy in Kalyani, Kalighat Club managed to reach 214/6 at stumps on Day 1 against East Bengal Club.
Subham Chatterjee was the top scorer with an unbeaten 55.
In the day’s fifth match at Aditya Academy in Barasat, Paikpara Sporting Club reached 220/8 at stumps on Day 1 against Town Club.
Md Kaif impressed with the ball claiming five crucial wickets for Town Club.
Rohit Dua was the top scorer for Paikpara with unbeaten 58 runs.
