Bengal U-25 beat Baroda by three wickets

Riding on a fine 78 by Ranjoot Singh Kharia, Bengal beat Baroda by three wickets in the men’s under-25 State A One-Day Trophy in Lahli, Haryana on Sunday.
Baroda posted 246/9 in 50 overs. In reply, Bengal chased down the target scoring 247/7 in 50 overs.
Batting first, openers Kinit Patel (54) and Harish Desai (30) got Baroda off to a positive start.
But after the dismissal of the duo, Mohit Mongia (51) and Shashwat Rawat (48) held the innings firmly to take team to a comfortable position.
Later on, Dhruv Patel (25) chipped in with a handy knock as Baroda crossed the 240-run mark.
For Bengal, Durgesh Dubey and Prayas Ray Barman picked three wickets each.
In reply, Bengal lost opener Ankur Paul (18) early. But Ranjot played his natural game and took on the bowlers. He was well supported by Abishek Porel (44).
Despite the dismissal of the duo, Kaushik Maity (24 not out) and Sandipan Das (17 not out) stayed till the end to guide the team to victory.
