Suraj claims six wickets in Inter District T20 meet

Suraj Sarkar bagged six wickets to help Nadia Super Dazzler beat Murshidabad Nabab by 114 runs in the CAB Inter District T20 Tournament in Balurghat on Sunday.
Opting to bat, Nadia posted a challenging 175/8, courtesy of handy knocks by Tanmoy Praminick (47) and Arnab Bhattacharjee (41).
In reply, Murshidabad were bundled out for just 61 thanks to impressive bowling by Suraj (6-18), Arnab Sikder (2-9) and Tanmoy (2-10).
In the day’s second match in Murshidabad, Chandan Singh smashed a 52-ball 72 to help Hooghly beat Biplabi Chandernagore by 68 runs.
Put into bat, Hooghly played positively right from the start. Enroute his fine knock, Chandan struck six fours and five sixes to help team post 160/6 in 20 overs.
Chasing the target, Chandernagore never looked comfortable as wickets at regular intervals hurt their chances, thus managing to reach 92/8 in 20 overs.
In the day’s third match in Balurghat, Howrah Diamonds beat Midnapore Heroes by 5 wickets.
Opting to bat, Midnapore were bundled out for 95 thanks to a fine bowling effort by Howrah.
Akhilesh Yadav and Dipak Kr Singh picked three wickets each. In reply, Howrah chased down the target scoring 96/5 in 16.5 overs.
In the day’s fourth match in Murshidabad, Jalpaiguri Rhinocers beat Dare Devil Dakshin Dinajpur by 41 runs.
Batting first, Jalpaiguri were bowled out for 88.
In reply, Dakshin Dinajpur were bundled out for just 47 in 16.2 overs, thanks to a fine effort from the Jalpaiguri bowlers.
