Tripura gain vital first innings lead vs Bengal U-19

Despite giving in their best efforts, Bengal U-19 team failed to take the advantage as Tripura gained vital first innings lead as the ongoing Cooch Behar Trophy match ended in a draw in Kalyani on Tuesday.
Tripura, in their second innings, were 132/6 in 75.4 overs at stumps on the final day.
Bengal conceaded a crucial two-run first innings lead as they scored 320 against Tripura’s 322.
Tripura won by virtue of the first innings lead and gained three points, while Bengal gathered one point.
Resuming the final day from an overnight score of 10/2, Tripura batsmen started positively looking to pile on some quick runs to force a result.
But Bengal bowlers bounced back in the game bagging some crucial wickets to have the visitors in trouble at 75-5.
But lower-order batsmen Anandh Bhowmik (28 not out) and Rajdeep Datta (17) kept their cool at the end to see the day off.
