CAB organises mesmerizing Awards Ceremony

The Annual Awards Day of the Cricket Association of Bengal was held at a glitzy ceremony today at the Netaji indoor Stadium.
Awards for the last three seasons were given as the Annual Day could not be held for two years due to Covid.


"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the committee members and the chairpersons for putting their best foot forward in this period. I would like to thank the CAB staff and media team for being with us every step. I would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to my fellow office bearers for their complete cooperation in every initiative we have taken. A special thanks to former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and former CAB President and current IPL governing council member Avishek Dalmiya for their vision and leadership in making CAB one of the best cricket associations in the country," said CAB Secretary Snehasish Ganguly while speaking on the grandeur of the occasion.


Jhulan Goswami who was the chief guest on the occasion was given a special award in recognition of her contribution to cricket, while Deepti Sharma was also felicitated for being part of the Women's Asia Cup winning side. Bengal's veteran cricketer Anustup Majumdar was adjudged Cricketer of the Year for the season 2019-20 while Shahbaz Ahmed took the honours for the next two years.
