98th Birth Anniversary of former India
footballer Late Sailen Manna

The cricket and football community today came together to celebrate the 98th Birth Anniversary of former India footballer Late Sailen Manna, organised by Kalighat Sports Lovers Association.
Speaking on the occasion, West Bengal Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sri Aroop Biswas said, Late Jagmohan Dalmiya's contribution to cricket cannot be forgotten. His birthday should also be celebrated in a grand manner with a friendly cricket match.
CAB President Avishek Dalmiya, who was present as the guest of honour, said that there are three stakeholders in maidan cricket, football and hockey and all of them should come together for development of the three games. He was presented with a football by MoS (independent charge) Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Chandrima Bhattacharya as a memento for the occasion.
The attraction for the evening was a friendly football match. CAB Hony Secretary Snehasish Ganguly led the CAB five-a-side against the CRA members. After a long time the classy former Bengal cricketer Snehasish Ganguly was seen with a football and showed he has lost none of his deft touch and skilled ball control. The match was played with competition and bonhomie.
Earlier, all the dignitaries gave floral tribute to Late Sailen Manna.
