Durgesh, Alok shine on a gloomy day to
put Bhawanipur in driver's seat

Bhawanipur Club pace-duo Durgesh Dubey and Alok Pratap Singh shared 9 wickets between them to floor opponents Kalighat Club for 284 runs in the first innings and later put up 54 for no loss on a rain-curtailed second day of CAB First Division Qualifier Championship final match at Eden Gardens today.
Resuming the day on 143/3 Kalighat batters Writam Porel and Subham Chatterjee stiched a 143-run partnership off the fourth wicket till Alok removed the latter one on 58.
Writam too failed to stay longer on the wicket as he became Durgesh's third victim and after that a lacklustre batting show followed as Kalighat lost rest 5 wickets for just 34 runs.
Fiery Durgesh took 5 wickets for 41 runs and Alok took 4 leaking 52.
Put to bat in the first innings Bhawanipur batters Abhishek Das (34*) and Abhishek Raman (17*) stayed unbeaten till the end of the day to take Bhawanipur to 54 for no loss.
