Chandrahas powers St. James into semis

Chandrahas Dash was seen in his fiery form as the St. James batter slammed 198 not out in a nail biting quarterfinal match of Mayor's Cup while their opponents Ratnakar North Point School fell short of 9 runs today.
Chandrahas during his blistering innings hit 9 sixes and 21 boundaries to take St. James to 336/4 in their quota of overs. Ratnakar North Point fought back thanks to skipper Jeet Thakur's gritty 118 but a tight bowling by St. james ensured a 9-run win.
Other schools to enter semifinals were South Point, Heritage and Nava Nalanda.
Aniket Biswas was the star of the day for Nava Nalanda as he scored 65-ball 100 in a crucial tie against Indus Valley World School to win the match by 102 runs.
In other two matches Aritra Sil took 4 wickets and Pratyush Kr Singh smashed unbeaten 61 as South Point overcame Aditya Academy Sr Secondary by 5 wickets and Yug Saraogi starred with the bat as the The Heritage School beat Patha Bhaban by 34 runs and in another match.
