Skipper Sarif leads Aditya Academy to victory

Aditya Academy Sr. Secondary begin their Mayor's Cup- CAB Inter School tournament campaign with a 69-run victory over Nava Nalanda High School riding on skipper Sarif Ali's unbeaten 104 today at Baranagar Sporting Club.
Electing to bat first Aditya Academy amassed 240/7 in their quota of overs and in reply Nava Nalanda were bundled out for 171 runs.
Manav Shaw removed two Nava Nalanda batters in his first two overs to hand Adutya Academy early advantage.
After being reduced to 17/2, Dibya Kishore and Ayush Singh steadied the ship by adding 91 runs off the third wicket before both were sent back to the pavilion by Ayushman Mishra.
After that Nava Nalanda failed to turn the tide in their favour as Ayushman went on to finish with a figure of 4 for 42 and another Aditya Academy bowler Anup Yadav bagged 4 for 22.
Earlier Aditya Academy recovered from 18/2 strongly thanks to 146-run partnership between Sarif and Swarga (82) and posted a fighting 240 on the board.
