Port Trust clinch narrow victory
thanks to fiery Tribit spell

Tribit Roy was the saviour of Calcutta Port Trust with a match-winning seven-for as they defeated opponents Sporting Union by a narrow margin of 4 runs in CAB First Division relegation match today.
For BNR Md Irfan slammed unbeaten 114 to win the game by 1 wicket against Dalhousie after a fine bowling performance by Narayan Rana while Tollygunge Agragami beat Netaji Subhash Institute by 6 wickets.
In second division league International Club lost 4 wickets quickly for 28 runs after bundling out Vijay Sports for 314 runs riding on Suraj Sarkar six-for, Calcutta Rangers made 389/8 as Irshad Rahim hit century, Calcutta Cricket Club amassed 401 while Bata restricted Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute to 195.
Chasing a target of 373 runs Tanuiit Acharjee smashed a 98-ball 168 but sadly that wasn't enough to save the day for Sporting Union.
Bengal Sporting defeated Salkia Friends riding on Sayantan Biswas' seven-wicket haul, Sarat Samity bundled out WB Association of Deaf for a paltry 47 runs to registered comfortable victory and Albert Sporting, Central Calcutta Sporting were also victorious.
Among the bowlers Mauri bowler Sayan Parui, Albert Sporting's Subhankar Bhattacharjee, Surajit Das of Central Calcutta Sporting, Amature CC's Manav Shaw picked up 5 wickets in their respective matches and Amrit Raj Upadhyay starred for City AC with 6 wickets under his belt.
