Sudip slams 88 as Bengal post 246/8 on day two

6th April 2022
Sudip Kumar Gharami continued his good form with the willow playing another crucial knock of 88 runs to take Bengal U25 to 246/8 at the end of the second day's play in Col CK Nayudu trophy today.
After resuming the day on 304/8 Punjab were bundled out for 312 as Sandipan Das took rest of the wickets in the morning session.
Put to bat Shakir Habib Gandhi got good start but failed to convert his innings into a bigger one as the left-handed batter was removed on 40 after Bengal lost Ankur Paul (9) early.
Sudip stitched two important partnerships with Shakir and Agniv Pan of 69 and 70 runs respectively. Agniv added useful 49 before missing out on a well-deserved fifty being removed by Aryaman Dhaliwal who went on to bag 4 wickets.
Sudip became another victim of Aryaman after hitting 14 boundaries and 1 six during his innings.
Bengal are now trailing by 66 runs and Md Kaif (7) along with Sandipan Das (6) will have the crucial task to take the first innings lead tomorrow.
