CAB frst division qualifier championship begin;
two seven-fors in second division

Uddipan Mukherjee (89) and Abhishek Gupta (66) played crucial roles with the bat as Calcutta Customs put up a challenging 351/4 at the end of the first day and Ballygunge United bowler Karan Singh bagged 5 wickets against United Club in CAB first division qualifier championship today.
In other first division matches Rajasthan Club riding on Mayukh Biswas 57 not out made 210/5 against Indian Boys Athletic, Aikya Sammilani restricted Ananda Bazar SC to 257/4.
Umesh Yadav's fiery from continued as the National Athletic bowler picked up 7 wickets against Aurora Athletic while SK Siddik of Gymkhana bagged as many wickets with White Border in CAB second division league.
Umesh took 7 for 111 as their opponents Aurora Athletic scored 382/9 thanks to Prsanna Das ton while White Border were skittled out for 192 runs.
Sabyasachi Das with 4 for 39 and Chandan Das' quickfire fifty powered Star Sporting to 5-wicket victory in one day against Bani Niketan.
Anish Agarwal put up a dominating show to make life miserable for Sahapur Sporting bowlers as the Balak Sangha batter scored unbeaten 151 containing 15 boundaries and 5 sixes to amass 376/8 and Victoria Sporting buried Cossipore Club under pile of runs with 435/9 thanks to Subhadeep's unbeaten ton.
Sachin Rajak half-century helped Sarat Samity end the day on 75/1 after their bowlers out up a disciplined show to bundle opponents Bata Sports for 197 runs, Calcutta Parsee Club with the help of four half-centuries posted a challenging 369/9 against Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute, Satya Sandhi bowlers took 3 quick wickets after scoring 231 against Friends Athletic,
Abasar bowlers Ankush Sur, Goutam Roy took 4 wickets apiece.
