Bengal pile up 331 on day one

Powered by Sudip Gharami's fluent century and blistering fifties from Ankur Paul, skipper Kazi Junaid Saifi Bengal U25 posted a mammoth 331/4 against Jammu & Kashmir at the end of first day's play in Col CK Nayudu trophy opener today at Delhi.
Put to bat first Bengal suffered early setback losing youngster Shakir Habib Gandhi in the fourth over. However a 163-run second wicket stand between Sudip and Ankur not only steadied Bengal batting but also laid the foundation for a big score.
Sudip went back after well made 115 containing 17 boundaries and 2 sixes while Ankur scored 87 off 138 balls.
Bengal lost Agniv Pan soon after Sudip and skipper Kazi staying unbeaten on 64 along with Abhishek Porel (41*) to take Bengal to 331 at end of the day's play.
