Jharkhand enter quarterfinals

Jharkhand entered quarterfinals of Ranji trophy by the virtue of first innings lead as their pre-quarterfinal encounter with Nagaland resulted in a draw at the end of the final day at Eden Gardens today.
Jharkhand maanged to score 880 in the first innings and after bundling their opponents for 289 runs on the fourth day Saurabh Tiwary's men chose to bat again.
Kumar Kushagra who smashed 266 in the first innings scored 89 in the second while Anukul Roy completed a fine century to take Jharkhand to 417/6 in the second innings.
17-year-old Kushagra was adjudged player of the match thanks to his batting performance in the crucial match. R Jonathan took 3 wickets, highest for Nagaland in the second innings.
