Jharkhand take first innings lead to
virtually seal quarterfinals spot

An all-round Jharkhand team virtually qualified fpr the quarterfinals of the Ranji trophy after taking lead in the first innings and emding the fourth day with 723-run lead against Nagaland today in pre-quarterfinal match at Eden Gardens.
After posting a mammoth 880 in the first innings Jharkhand bowlers did well to bundle Nagaland for 289 runs in the first. Batting again in the Second innings Jharkhand ended the day on 132/2.
Chetan Bist scored an unbeaten 122 while other Nagaland batters failed to provide much support to put up a lone battle against Jharkhand bowlers.
Shahbaz Nadeem was the highest wicket-taker for Jharkhand with 3 wickets in his kitty.
