14th March 2022
Inching closer to the quarterfinals spot Jharkhand batters have already done their part by posting the highest first innings score in first-class cricket at Eden Gardens with 880 runs and later bolwers reduced Nagaland to 130/4 to end the third day with 750-run lead in Ranji trophy pre-quarterfinal today.
Shahbaz Nadeem showing off his batting skills slammed 177 while Jharkhand tailender Rahul Shukla did a commendable job by remaining not out on 85.
Put to bat Nagaland lost 4 wickets in the 58 overs played today with S Munde was highest scorer with 96-ball 39 among the top order batters.
Nagaland wicket-keeper Chetan Bisht (46*) stiched two partnerships with Munde and Abu Nechim (13*) to arrest the slide.
