Shakir shines as Tapan Memorial dominant against EB

Bengal wicket-keeper batsman Shakir Habib Gandhi made a gritty 265-ball 82 to power Tapan Memorial to 232 losing just 3 wickets against East Bengal at the end of the first day's play in CAB first division league today.
Tapan openers Shakir and Kuldeep Devatwal stood for 272 balls adding 86 runs as EB bowlers failed to make much impact. Sandipan took 2 wickets, highest for EB.
In another group A match Shambazar lost two wickets for 56 runs after bundling Barisha Sporting for 227 runs thanks to Toufiq's 3 for 45.
