Dominant Bengal move closer to knockouts spot

With a huge 399-run lead and two early wickets in the last hour of the today's play Bengal will be looking up to their bolwers to finish the job and seal a spot in the Ranji trophy knockouts tomorrow.
Chasing a target of 413 runs Chandigarh were reduced to 14/2 quickly as Mukesh Kumar and Ishan Porel picked up 1 wicket apiece.
At the end of the third day's play highest scorer for Bengal against Chandigarh Anustup Majumder said: "The best is yet to come. Yes we have got a big total on the biard in this match but we have not been able to be consistent with the bat. It always feels good to score runs for Bengal."
"Wicket is slow now, bowlers will have to work hard to dismiss. We have faith in iur bowlers, they have won us last two matches, kept us in the hunt. Even though there won't be much help for them but we are confident our bowlers will get rest of the wickets tomorrow to win this tie," he added.
Chandigarh batting lineup resumed the day on 133/6 and Bengal bowlers wrapped things up for 206. AK Kaushik fought a lone battle with a patient 113-ball 63.
Bengal pacers continued their domination by sharing 9 wickets between them. Nilkantha Das finsihed with figure of 3-47 while Ishan Porel, Mukesh Kumar and Sayan Sekhar Mondal picked up 2 wickets apiece.
Earlier put to bat again Bengal declared on 181/8 after playing 56.1 overs. Experienced campaigner Anustup Majumder made 43 while Abhishek Porel (38) and Shahbaz Ahamad (32) added some useful runs later to give Bengal a 400-plus lead.
