Suman bags 6 as Calcutta customs
thrash Md Sporting by 249 runs

Calcuta Customs steamrolled Md Sporting in CAB first division league group B&C matches by 249 runs as Suman Das made opponents batters’ life miserable with 6 for 34 today.
Customs batting first posted a mammoth 405/6 riding on Prasanth Bhandari’S well-made 86 and in reply Md Sporting were bundled out for a paltry 156 runs. In the two group A matches started today Priyank Patel’s unbeaten ton took Barisha Sporting to 210/4 at the end of the day against Tapan Memorial and East Bengal restricted Town Club to 186/5 riding on Rohit Kumar four-for. Ompal Boken highest scored for Town Club by smashing a 119-ball 96.
In other group B&C matches Sunil Dalal was match-winner for Wari AC scoring a ton with the bat and taking 4 wickets under his belt against Tollygunge Agragami, Kolkata Union won against Kumartuli Institute as 102 by Debopam Biswas went in vain, Rajsthan Club’s 93-run victory against Ananda Bazar SC was crafted by Abhishek Tamang five-for and Mayukh Biswas’s unbeaten 97.
BNR Club and Aikya Sammilani were also victorious in their respective matches.
In a CAB second division league National Athletic Club defeated Victoria Sporting thanks to Umesh Yadav who bagged 6 wickets, Abasar bowler Goutam Roy played crucial role with seven-for in their huge victory while Ballygunge Sporting Association also rode on seven-wicket haul by Pranab Prasad to thrash White Border by 235 runs.
Bani Niketan lost to Gymkhana by a huge margin of 292 runs after Avirup Dey helped his team to defend 435-run total by bagging 5 wickets.
