Md Sporting finish group stage on top

Susmita Ganguly put up an all-round show as Md Sporting registered a 5-wicket victory against Rajasthan Club in their last Byju's Women's T20 Blast group stage match today at BCA Kalyani to finish on top of the table. East Bengal are placed at second with 24 points- 8 behind table toppers while Rajasthan Club and Town Club are third and fourth respectively with 20 points. These four teams have qualified for the knockouts. Susmita took 2 wickets, bowled one maiden in her quota of overs and provided much-needed fire power while batting with 8-ball 14 containing one six and as many boundary after Mita Paul (19*) and Mamani Roy (26) took Md Sporting closer to the victory. In another match East Bengal emerged victorious riding on all-rounder Tithi Das' match-winning performance against Kalighat. Tithi bagged 2 wickets earlier to restrict Kalighat to 101/7 and later guided EB home a fluent 29.
