Sandipan bags five as East Bengal dominant

Sandipan registered five-wicket haul as East Bengal ended the second day of their CAB first division league opener by reducing Shambazar to 94/9 in the second innings today.
Shambazar now have a lead of 9 runs, a wicket in hand and a whole day to survive while EB would want to wrap things up early with their full force. EB bowler Shreyan Chakraborty starred in the second innings too taking 3 wickets for 22 runs.
Tapan Memorial fought back with Gaurav Chauhan (82*) and KD (68*) half-centuries after Town Club posted a mammoth 430/9.
In group B&C matches Eastern Railway won by 6 wickets against Monoharpukur Milan Samity thanks to Pankaj Shaw's 62 not out; Dakshin Kalikata Samsad chased down 327-run target riding on Biswajit Bhuyan (111) century; Siddharth Singh and Yudhajit Singh bagged 4 wickets apiece to help Calcutta Police defeated Sporting Union by 140 runs.
IABC and United Club were also victorious by huge margins.
In second division league Sahil Kamran led Measurers Club to victory with unbeaten ton while Calcutta Cricket Club, WB Police won their respective matches.
