Abhishek, Pranab help Ballygunge
Sporting thrash Howrah Union

Local cricket resumed as Ballygunge Sporting Association thrashed Howrah Union by 231 runs in CAB Second Division One day pre quarterfinal today.
Batting first Ballygunge Sporting posted a mammoth 306/6 in their quota of overs as Abhishek Mitra scored a fluent unbeaten century.
Ballygunge were even more ruthless while bowling as Howrah Union were bundled out for a paltry 75 as Pranab Prasad danced through their batting lineup with a five-for.
Subham Jaiswal's unbeaten 113 powered Bata Sports Club to 6-wicket victory against Young Bengal, WB Police rode on bowlers led by Abhijit Mishra's 4 for 32 to beat against YMCA (Chow Br) and Arup Saha's fighting hundred went in vain as International Club lost against Calcutta Cricket Club.
Another five-wicket taker of the day was Asif Mondal who helped Shibpur emerge victorious against Bengal Sporting and CC Bhowanipore, Taltala Institute, Calcutta Rangers won in their respective matches.
