Tripura beats Jharkhand to register first win

Tripura struck form in the third match of the T20 Zonal Championship of Syed Mustaq Ali Tournament when they beat Jharkhand by 24 runs here today.
Jharkhand won the toss and elected to field, a decision that backfired as Tripura went firing on all cylinders. U Bose at the top hit a blistering 74 off 38 balls to take Tripura to 192. Though he got little support from the rest of the teammates with R D Banik (22), BB Roy (18) and SK Patel (16) all getting starts but not converting, Jharkhand gave a helping hand with 32 extras.
Jharkhand showed the right intent in run chase with Shasheem 70 not out and Saurabh Tiwary 37. But they got little help from the remaining team. In addition Tripura bowled with discipline to see that they finished at 168 for six wickets giving Tripura the first win of the meet.
Bhattacharjee was the top Tripura bowler with 3 for 40 from his four overs.
