CAB second division One Day tournament
kicks off

Anik Sarkar registered five-wicket haul for Balak Sangha while WB Police Sports Club batter Sandip Das hit unbeaten half-century as both teams won their respective CAB Second Division One Day matches to kick off the tournament on a winning note today.
CAB President Avishek Dalmiya, Treasurer Debashish Ganguly, Jt Secy Debabrata Das, Tournament committee chairman Nitish Ranjan Dutta, member Tapan Kr Addy and observer committee member Srimanta Kr Mullick visited the grounds on the first day to overlook the preparations.
CAB President said: "We couldn't have all the tournaments last year due to pandemic situation but this year the conditions are different and we want to complete all. Maidan wickets are also ready and we are hoping to start cricket there by the first week of December."
At Deshbandhu Park Police bowlers did well to bundle out Star Sporting Club for a paltry 136 runs and Sandip hit 58 not out along with Debraj Roy's 39 won WB Police the match by 9 wickets.
Earlier Samim Modi bagged 3 wickets for Star.
In another match Balak Sangha bolwer Anik bagged 5 wickets for 20 runs to bundle opponents Suburban Club for 106 runs and Dipak Yadav remained unbeaten on 44 while chasing to ensure 6-wicket victory.
